This retreat has been thoughtfully crafted to provide a revitalizing experience for the dedicated teaching staff of Early Learning centers as they prepare for the upcoming school year.
Over the course of two days, our retreat will offer immersive professional development opportunities centered around essential themes including Reflective Practice, Professionalism, Self-Care and Wellbeing, Effective Communication Skills, Stress Management, and the latest trends in Early Childhood Education.

Stacey Byes-Byarse is a childcare professional with over 19 years of experience. She founded It Takes a Village Academy, serving families in two Louisiana parishes. Stacey is a passionate advocate for children, families, and educators. In 2021, she expanded her reach by founding My Village Triumphs and starting her coaching business, Talk with Ms. Stacey B. Stacey is a certified trainer and coach who empowers childcare professionals and others to achieve their goals.
Stacey’s dedication to early learning extends beyond her academies. She is a certified Early Learning Trainer and works with childcare professionals to help them grow and develop. Stacey’s coaching helps individuals in various industries make positive changes in their lives. Her personable approach and extensive knowledge make her a valuable resource for those seeking to reach their full potential.

Raeyna Woodside-Howard has been a part of the early childhood education sector for 14 years. She has worked in many roles, most notably as a Head Start Pre-K teacher, early childhood instructional coach/trainer and currently center manager.
She is also a Louisiana Pathways certified trainer and Cohort 5 alumni of the Louisiana Early Leaders Academy. Her motto is to “Let Your Light Shine,” and she is committed to paying it forward and helping educators to find their light.
Ms. Annette Nicole Jones

Annette Nicole Jones, M.A., is the CEO of The Wealth by Design Legacy Firm, LLC, The CEO Therapist, Founder of Goal GetHER, Inc., a 501c3 non-profit organization, and former host of The M.I.N.D Weekly TV series. Annette excels in developing the goals and visions of movement makers, particularly female entrepreneurs and therapists. She monetizes their divine gifts and skills, positioning them to create profitable businesses to live and leave a legacy.
Annette is dedicated to her own development as a leader, Mental Health Therapist, Master Certified Life, Mindset, and Business Coach, and International Speaker. A first-generation college graduate and entrepreneur, Annette holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Southern University of New Orleans and a Master’s of Art Degree from Xavier University of Louisiana. With over two decades of experience in Early Childhood Education, Elisha “Coach E” Thompson-Jones is an accomplished educator and administrator dedicated to fostering young scholars’ emotional, academic, and social growth. Holding a Master’s of Education in Learning and Technology from Western Governors University, a Bachelor of Arts from Dillard University, and an Associate of Arts from Delgado Community College in Early Childhood Education, “Coach E” has excelled in various leadership roles, including Learning/Technology Coordinator, TAP Mentor Teacher, Pre-Kindergarten School Coordinator, Master Teacher, and currently as Center Manager for two Head Start Centers. Her expertise in data-driven instruction, staff training, and family engagement ensures high-quality, integrated services for children and families.
Known for a leadership style that blends Coaching and Democratic approaches, Elisha emphasizes empathy, resourcefulness, and professionalism. So passionate about making impactful contributions to Early Childhood Education, Elisha is excited to launch Royal Learning Express, LLC! This organization will serve as an engine to train and support educators and families to improve educational practices and outcomes for young learners.
Ms. Natalie Woods- West
Professionalism
Some have described Natalie’s radiant personality as infectious and her drive for success contagious. Natalie is a born motivator with the unique ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
A corporate executive turned childcare expert, Natalie’s family owns two successful childcare centers in Texas. As a Performance and Success Coach with the Childcare Millionaires Association, she works directly with childcare owners across the nation providing them with the tools and strategies they need to optimize operations, build successful teams and maximize revenue.
Natalie is a graduate of Sam Houston State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Radio/Television/Film. She holds an MBA in marketing from the University of Phoenix and a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Leadership Certification from Cornell University.
Natalie is an Amazon number one best-selling author and a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She has received numerous awards for her professional achievements and service to the community.
Leslie Buggs

Leslie Buggs was born and raised in the vibrant city of Nashville, Tennessee. Her educational journey led her to obtain a Master’s Degree in Biology as well as a Master’s Degree in Human Development and Early Childhood Disorders. With a robust career spanning 16 years in the field of childcare, Leslie has devoted her life to nurturing and educating young minds. In December 2017, she founded the Future Leaders of Excellence Academy, a testament to her commitment and vision for high-quality early childhood education. Leslie’s dedication to inclusivity is evident in her passion for integrating children of all abilities into the early childhood setting. She believes in creating an environment where every child can thrive, learn, and grow together. Outside of her professional life, Leslie enjoys indulging in her love for shoes, exploring new travel destinations, and savoring diverse culinary experiences. She is also the proud aunt of two nieces.
